School, Sports, and Camp Physicals in Norwalk, CT

No matter how old your child is and what grade they are about to enter, they are still expected to get their back to school physical examinations.

Children who are in the process of registering to participate in school sports or summer camps are typically required to have a physical exam. These pre-physicals are required to make sure the child is physically healthy and not at risk for further injury by participation.

If you cannot make an appointment with your child’s primary physician, you can walk into AFC Urgent Care in Norwalk, CT and day during the a week – no appointments necessary!

Our physicians take this opportunity to do a comprehensive check of your child’s body. This usually includes:

  • Recording height and weight
  • Taking blood pressure and pulse readings
  • Checking heart, lungs, abdomen, skin, eyes, ears, nose, mouth and throat
  • Administering or updating vaccinations

Skip the wait for an appointment with your child’s primary care physician and stop by our center today!  We offer complete physical exams that also include a thorough review of the child’s medical history and review of vaccinations. If we identify a potential problem, our physicians can provide recommendation and work with your child’s pediatrician for future care.
